MY COMMITMENT TO YOU

 

While I was still a law student in 1992, I witnessed a complaint from a client to his lawyer. Matters were not dealt with and the lawyer excused himself by saying that he had several important matters to attend to and the complainant’s case was “just” an eviction. The client’s face revealed his frustration and he asked: “why did you take the matter in the first place?” I learned then that for each client his matter is the only important matter.

My commitment to my clients has been to always to treat each client as he or she was my only client. My aim is to be ready and willing to answer any queries as they arrive and deal with each file in a timely manner. I do not believe in marketing while the files stay unattended on my desk. My best marketing tool is the referrals from satisfied clients.

I make communication with my clients a matter of high importance. The lack of proper communication significantly reduces the chance of client satisfaction and usually results in a lack of proper representation. If you do not know the facts you cannot guarantee you are acting in your client’s best interest.

Communication between client and lawyer needs to be open and honest. This is a relationship of trust and confidence.  My aim is to get a clear idea of your legal needs, analyse all the special circumstances of your case, look at all possible options, explain them to you in a way you can clearly understand and allow you to make an informed decision.
